Best Practices for QR Codes
- Keep URLs short — shorter URLs create simpler, more scannable QR codes. Use a URL shortener if needed.
- Test before printing — always test your QR code with multiple devices before printing at scale.
- Add quiet zone — leave white space around the QR code. Most readers need at least 4 modules of clear border.
- Minimum size — for print, QR codes should be at least 1×1 cm (0.4 inches) at the intended viewing distance.
- High error correction for logos — if embedding a logo, use Level H (30%) error correction to compensate for the obscured area.
